DeFabrique is a canal-side event space located in the former Ulbe Twijnstra oil mill and processing plant in Utrecht, Netherlands. Bijman Audiovisual, based in De Meern, specialises in supplying sound, lighting and AV to corporate events. The company has been providing DeFabrique’s technical requirements for the last 15 years. The Philips Stadion in Eindhoven served as the venue for four sold out concerts by Dutch singer/songwriter Guus Meeuwis, with 360 Robe moving lights catching the action as part of a lighting display designed by Marco Driessen from The Art of Light. Meeuwis’ appearances at the 34,000 capacity stadium, home to football team PSV Eindhoven, have become an annual occurrence, with this year’s run of shows sporting a new look, originated by set designer Ronald van den Bersselaar of BEEO. Latvian singer Arta Jekabsone has been announced as the winner of the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition 2016. Three contestants were selected for the final on Saturday 9 July at the Petit Théâtre in Montreux Palace, during the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival. The other finalists were Erik Leuthäuser from Germany and Italian vocalist Fabio Giacalone, who came second and third respectively. Galicia built his tour rig around 12 Next NXT-1 moving LED panels from Chauvet Professional, supplied by Meridian Pro. “Creating the lighting design for the Ha*Ash Primera Fila tour represented several challenges,” said Galicia. “Due to the enormous success Ha*Ash has achieved, the tour has had to have a fairly tight schedule.
