The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival wrapped its 15th weekend on June 12 at its a 700-acre home with an attendance of 85,000 and Bandit Lites once again working with Lambda Productions to provide a lighting package. The weekend featured performances from acts including Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, CHVRCHES, Jason Isbell, M83, Halsey and Chris Stapleton. Spokane, Washington, the ‘Lilac City’ that holds a week long Lilac Festival, featured a parade, concerts and, in 2016, a stunning light display on a local landmark created with COLORado fixtures from Chauvet Professional. Justin Haas of AMP’D Entertainment created the temporary display on the Washington Trust Financial Center, an imposing 16-story marble and concrete structure located at a critical junction on the parade route. An Allen & Heath dLive digital mixing system recently managed a special concert in the Philharmonic Hall of Astrakhan, in the southern region of Russia. The system, consisting of an S5000 Control Surface and DM48 MixRack, was equipped with Dante, Waves and MADI network cards, and managed both FOH and monitor sound, as well as providing a multi-channel recording. The concert was performed by Makhov’s Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments, named after its first artistic director and conductor, Vyacheslav Makhov.
