Together with the partners Düsseldorf Airport, Mietmöbel furniture rental service and Kirberg Catering, Neumann&Müller has equipped the two different sized studios for immediate deployment for virtual and in-person events at Düsseldorf Airport.

From the gangway straight into the streaming studio in Station Airport at the mainline railway station, Düsseldorf Airport provides a perfectly located venue that now has two ready-to-go streaming studios and is now up and running for hosting digital and hybrid live events.

In a location previously used by airline passengers to check in their luggage, Neumann&Müller has installed video, lighting and audio equipment for live streaming on two floors of the building.

Moreover, complete packages with technical solutions aimed at a wide variety of event formats were configured in advance for the two differently sized studios. When conditions are right, Station Airport can host hybrid events with up to 250 persons.

Düsseldorf Airport, N&M, arena Mietmöbel and Kirberg Catering work hand in hand as partners in order to offer an effectively staged event to customers and guests at the venue. They are also able to draw on a permanently installed hospitality and catering area.

Both studios are embedded within the venue’s modern architecture, whose surrounding panorama windows afford an unobstructed view of the airport runways.

The Box studio is on the gallery on the 1st floor and is especially suited to streaming discussions and interviews. The overall size of around 50 square metres, including an activity space of 12 sq m, provides ample room for up to four persons or, under current hygiene regulations, for two protagonists. The recommended technology package includes a mobile HD camera, a 55″ preview display and a vision control desk. Three operators and a camera person are also included in addition to the audio and lighting equipment.

With its even more sophisticated technical equipment, the LED stage studio creates the ideal setting for product presentations, podium discussions and press conferences – in an entirely digital or hybrid format. Over 2,600 square metres of floor space are available, meaning that 250 guests can currently attend in person.

Up to eight persons can perform in front of the high-resolution LED wall, which acts as a background to the 10m by 5m stage and offers a lot of room for video displays. N&M has put two technology packages together for the LED stage. These can differ in the range of equipment and size of the staff, depending on the customer’s specific requirements.

Station Airport also provides additional rooms during events for make-up, backstage area, offices and access to the 1,000 sq m terrace with its view of the airport apron.

Furthermore, as part of the venue’s customised hygiene concept, there is a separate hygiene zone for check-ins. A LAN is available with up to 10 Gbps along with a WLAN with 100 Mbps that can be upgraded to 300 Mbps. Lifts provide barrier-free access to all floors. Thanks to the venue’s proximity to the airport, visitors have ideal access to motorways as well as to local, regional and national trains.
