How did you initially get into the industry? “I was selling capital equipment in London in the early ‘90s as a green, 22-year-old northerner. The recession hit, nobody was building anything, and I knew I was on borrowed time. Painting with Light has produced a vibrant, inventive visual solution for Zoo of Life a production directed by Luc Stevens to celebrate 175 years of Antwerp Zoo, staged at the new Queen Elizabeth Hall venue in Antwerp, Belgium. The team from the Genk based creative practice was led by Luc Peumans. Danish singer, songwriter and music producer Alex Vargas played a special one-off concert at Copenhagen’s 16,000 capacity Royal Arena, with a set and lighting design by Theis Wermuth of creative visual practice, Create This. The centre of the design featuring 22 Robe MegaPointes, supplied, along with the rest of the lighting kit, by Nordic Rentals.
