ADJ is expanding its sales and marketing team with the appointment of Eddie Short to help the Group of Companies as global Public Relations and Communications Manager for ADJ Lighting, Avante Audio, American Audio, Accu-Cable, and newly acquired Eliminator Lighting.
Short will be working closely with Marketing Director, Brian Dowdle on the company’s global marketing efforts. Short’s role will include writing press releases and stories for the ‘ADJ NewsWave’ digital newsletter as well as liaising with press and media contacts. He will also work alongside the global sales teams to find and showcase interesting projects featuring ADJ Group equipment.
Based in the UK, Short has extensive experience as a writer and of the entertainment technology industry. Starting out as a DJ back when he was just 12 years old, Short moved on to work in event production and lighting design before founding Pro Mobile magazine – where he still serves as Editor over 15 years later – and the BPM | PRO trade show.
“I’ve known Eddie for over 10 years,” said Dowdle. “We have done business together when he was the publisher of Pro Mobile Magazine, as well as during his time with Marked Events. I’ve always admired Eddie’s work and, when work he became available, I knew he’d be a great fit for our growing team.”
Short will be attending the upcoming NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, January 24-27, 2019.
