Outline’s GTO C-12 Rises to the Top at Creamfields

Capital Sound deploys major GTO C-12 line-source system at The World's No1 Dance Music Festival.

London’s Capital Sound Hire supplied sound systems to two of the 30+ stages at this year’s Creamfields event, including a substantial Outline GTO C-12 rig for the Generator Stage.

One of the world’s premier dance music events, Creamfields 2018 featured a stellar lineup of superstar DJs and artists from the worlds of EDM, house, trance, D&B, and grime, entertaining crowds of up to 70,000 across the August Bank Holiday weekend. Headliners on the Generator Stage included Vini Vici, Danny Howard, Steve Angello, Duke Dumont, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Alesso.

Capital designed a system for the event using part of its Outline inventory, deploying 12 GTO C-12 plus one GTO-DF (downfill) cabinets per side plus 4 LIPF-082 modules as front fills and 24 GTO-SUB subwoofers providing the low-frequency reinforcement essential for dance music. Capital’s design also used Outline’s latest Newton processor as the primary system controller, which fed 8 Powersoft X8 amplifiers via a Dante network.

Capital’s System Technician Ben Turnbull was on hand throughout the event and commented: “The system performed very well for the various electronic acts over the weekend, maintaining a high SPL and even coverage in the arena area.
