Obsidian Control Systems expands its support team with new hires

Obsidian Control Systems welcomes Matthew Gerardi and Hector Rojo.

Obsidian Control Systems has expanded its team with two new hires, tasked with providing the support, programming advice and training capabilities Obsidian customers expect from the lighting controller brand.

Matthew Gerardi will lead Obsidian Control Systems’ Technical Support division with focus on ONYX, NETRON and Capture, working out of Obsidian’s headquarter office in Los Angeles. Gerardi comes to Obsidian with an extensive background as a technical director and lighting technician and brings with him wide-ranging field experience with lighting control systems and AV networking across all major lighting control platforms. In his new role, Gerardi will work alongside Obsidian users to evolve ONYX, and will focus on ONYX and NETRON training sessions throughout the US, in person and online.

Hector Rojo joins Obsidian’s Latin American team to lead the ONYX support division for Mexico, Central and South America, along with other Spanish-speaking areas across the globe. Rojo brings with him an extensive technical background as a lighting designer, lighting programmer and lighting technician on various console platforms, as well as DMX, Art-NET and sACN networking systems. Hector will be based out of Elation Professional’s Mexico City office.

“Support and training are essential to customer success and with the addition of Matthew and Hector to our team we are reinforcing our commitment to our user base,” stated Obsidian Control Systems Channel Sales Manager, John Lopez. “We are dedicated to leading the way in innovative technology, development, and support to provide a world-class lighting control experience.”
