EnTEEtainment founder Dick Tee has retired from the business, handing leadership to his daughter, Frankie Tee, who is already the company’s Managing Director.
The announcement comes as EnTEEtainment marks 45 years in the events industry. Dick began his events career while at agricultural college in the mid-1970s, when he was elected Entertainment Chairman and ran his campaign under the slogan, ‘EnTEEtainment.’
He went on to operate under the name ‘That’s EnTEEtainment’ for 25 years, before incorporating the business into a limited company. Over four decades, Dick has become one of the industry’s best-known figures, including a long association with Glastonbury Festival as Head of Production, working alongside Michael Eavis.
Frankie has worked within EnTEEtainment since she was 18 and her first role was working the front office of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. She went on to study Event Management at university, determined to build her own reputation in the industry on her own terms, before joining the business properly in 2012.
Frankie became Managing Director in 2025 and hopes she will continue ‘facilitating multiple projects at the same time and grow to a strong female-led business that puts care first.’ Some highlight events over recent years have included Nelson Mandela Day, Spotify Wrapped, 6 Music Festival and Mighty Hoopla.
Dick explained: “I am so proud to have worked in the industry for so long, with some amazing people. I am proud of what I’ve been part of, but I’m prouder still of what Frankie’s already achieved in her own right, on her own terms.I couldn’t be leaving it in better hands.”
Frankie added: “What I’ve learned from watching my dad is that this industry runs on people and relationships, not just planning and logistics, and that’s something I want to protect as much as anything else. I’m excited for what’s next, but this isn’t about change for change’s sake; it’s about carrying forward everything that’s made EnTEEtainment what it is.”
