Soundworks of Virginia returned to Maymont Park in Richmond, VA to stage the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival, an event for which they have provided sound reinforcement since 2017. Working for promoter JMI (Johnson Marketing Inc), they deployed hangs of 12 Martin Audio WPL elements on each wing. The 63rd annual TV Week Logie Awards featured an array of lighting solutions by PROLIGHTS.  The lighting setup was installed by Chameleon Touring Systems, in collaboration with Show Technology – the official PROLIGHTS distributor in Australia. The Antwerpen Sportpaleis played host to a cornucopia projected lasers and lighting earlier this summer when promoters, Zillion presented their new ‘Iluminati’ dance concept. This brand new design, conceived by Frank Verstraeten, who co-promoted the event with Yves Smolders, ran over two days — each with nine hours duration. Christie HS Series projectors are illuminating the façade of the Cathedral of San Marcos. Organised by the City of Tuxtla Gutierrez with the Municipal Tourism Bureau, the show was managed by Puntos Audiovisuales, a rental and staging company. Jubin Nautiyal’s longtime Lighting Designer, Roosevelt Dsouza relied on a collection of CHAUVET Professional Color STRIKE M motorised strobes for the artist’s latest Australian tour. “Every song has its own way of conveying emotions, so I treat every song differently in terms of colour,” said Dsouza. “Colour choice is closely connected to feeling.” Although he uses the fixture’s two bright white LED tubes for strobing and audience lighting, Dsouza relies heavily on the fixture’s RGB pixel mappable face to create colourful effects. Robe has received two PLASA Innovation Awards for its Footsie and iFORTE LTX products at PLASA 2023.  Also previewed were new Robe products, the HolyPATT and MolyPATT, both new additions to Robe’s PATT range of luminaires.
