With over 30 years of experience designing and manufacturing bespoke precision stage engineering hardware, Andolite International has recently come under new management, modernising and optimising the production process while committing to the same standards of quality that long-time customers expect.
The company is known for products designed, wired, and tested in-house to meet the rigorous demands of live events and permanent installations. From bespoke IWB systems and high-current relay panels to transit cases and custom cabling solutions, the manufacturer has long been a household name in the industry.
David Edmunds, who will join Andolite International as Managing Director at the end of the summer, sees an opportunity to embrace modern tools for a more streamlined experience for customers. “The industry has changed significantly over the past years, there’s no doubt about that. With Andolite International, we see the potential to embrace technological improvement to be more responsive and supportive than ever. We want to deliver the fastest turn-around in the market, because we know deadlines are tight and our customer’s time matters,” Edmunds said.
The first step in his bid to modernise the way people order custom stage engineering is a continued development of the Cable Configuration and IWB Configuration tools that are on the company’s website. By selecting lengths, power requirements, types of socket or connectors, anybody can configure and quote for their project. The company is also looking forward to the release of a new Relay Panel Configurator and Meatrack Configuration in the near future.
In addition, the engineering team is finalising a number of new products, aimed at further reducing manufacturing time, as well as simplifying the specification journey. “Often, the products on the market are exceedingly complicated for the majority of projects. Our customers are experts in their field, they know what they need, so we want to give them the option to only pay for what the project requires,” Edmunds added.
Andolite International has moved to a new facility in Daventry, which will facilitate streamlining and further optimising the engineering and production workflow. Being more centrally located, the new warehouse won’t just reduce transport times, it will also allow closer collaboration with partners and venues in the area.
