Altimate has announced the launch of the MotionRoad Touring 24 Essential, a new 24-channel digital controller that expands the Essential range and introduces a new generation of hybrid solutions designed specifically for entertainment rigging professionals.
The MotionRoad Touring 24 Essential builds on all the strengths that made the T12 controller successful while significantly increasing its capacity with 24 control channels—adding 12 extra channels to manage more lifting points from a single controller.
With the MotionRoad Touring 24 Essential, Altimate has chosen to make hybrid technology the standard across its digital controllers, operating exclusively in direct voltage mode.
This architecture provides several key benefits:

The MotionRoad Touring 24 Essential features a three-inch OLED display, providing clear visibility of all essential system information.
Operators can monitor power supply status, circuit breaker status, reversing switch status, channel addressing, channel usage limitations, software updates or locking of critical functions.
Each channel includes an ADJUST position, allowing operators to quickly operate a specific hoist without having to deselect and reconfigure all other channels.
For immediate system status recognition, every selector switch incorporates an RGB LED indicator, displaying various operating states such as active channel, inactive channel, adjustment mode, upward movement, and downward movement.
To enhance operational safety in the event of wiring errors between the controller and the hoists, each channel features an independent direction reversal function.
This allows operators to quickly correct movement direction without modifying the installation itself. To ensure configuration integrity, reversal settings can be locked directly through the controller’s digital interface.
In line with Altimate’s commitment to sustainable equipment development, the Motion Road Touring 24 Essential includes software that can be updated free of charge.

The controller incorporates a Group Stop function, automatically stopping the entire group when a circuit breaker trips.
For applications requiring operational continuity, a Bypass function is also available, allowing the remaining channels to continue operating safely when necessary.
