White Light recently supplied the complete technical solutions for the Gold Service Scholarship Awards which took place at Claridge’s.

The Gold Service Scholarship Awards recognises the very best young, front of house professionals working in Food and Beverage. The winning scholar receives an impressive array of prizes, which includes placements at a leading international hotel, prestigious UK restaurants and a Buckingham Palace State Banquet.

The Award Ceremony was held on 4th February 2019. As the in-house technical supplier at Claridge’s, White Light was approached to oversee the production support.

White Light’s Venue Sales Manager Matthew Ward said: “This is the second year running in which we’ve been asked to work on the Gold Service Scholarship Awards. As it’s a prestigious occasion held in one of Britain’s most luxurious hotels, it’s important that the technical elements are seamless and match the high standards that are being recognised”.

Prior to the Awards, White Light worked closely with the client to decide on the production support needed to fulfil their brief. White Light was then tasked with supplying all of the lighting, audio and set, which featured the client’s specific branding. White Light also helped create the visual presentation which ran throughout the event.

Ward commented: “The event took place in the Ballroom at Claridge’s and was attended by around 210 people from all across the UK. We had our own in-house technicians working throughout the evening to ensure everything ran smoothly”.

The event is one of many that WL supports on a weekly basis at Claridge’s. 2019 marks the company’s second year as an in-house partner, offering clients the latest technology paired with opulent surroundings.

Ward concluded: “With our expert staff based in-house, along with our investment in the very latest technology, we are able to offer anyone using the spaces at Claridge’s with technical support bespoke to their exact requirements. The Gold Service Scholarship Awards were a prime example of this”.
