Ambassador Theatre Group’s (ATG) Stockton Globe, is launching Live at The LINK, a programme designed to support local and emerging artists on 15 July from 5:30pm (BST).

The event, streaming live from Stockton Globe’s little sibling, and adjoining venue, The LINK will be hosted by Rianne Thompson (BBC Music Introducing) and will feature live performances and exclusive chats with local singer songwriters Luke Royalty and Jodie Nicholson and hip-hop artist Shakk in front of a studio audience, as well as an insightful ‘in conversation’ with General Manager Jo Ager about the future of the venue and the programme.

The LINK is a multi-functional space which will operate as a café, bar and live entertainment venue in its own right. The 200-capacity venue will support local and emerging artists with the Live at The LINK programme, adding to the vibrant live entertainment scene in Teesside. During the day, visitors will be able to enjoy coffee, cake and a light food menu before the transformation into a live gig space.

In the future, The LINK will host a variety of events for the people of Stockton and beyond, with diverse grassroot gigs, listening parties, pre-parties and afterparties all being worked into its schedule. The venue is also looking to work with local music event programming partners such as the Tees Music Alliance, NARC. and NE Volume, as well as BBC Music Introducing. It will be hosting a number of music gigs, in association with Tees Music Alliance, throughout the internationally renowned SIRF at the end of July.

The event live-stream is open to everyone and all you will have to do to tune in is visit the Stockton Globe website or Facebook page for details.

General Manager at Stockton Globe and The Link Jo Ager says “We cannot wait to welcome Luke Royalty, Jodie Nicholson and Shakk, as well as the brilliant Rianne Thompson from BBC Music Introducing, to The LINK. We’d love for everyone to tune into the live-stream.

“These artists are exactly what the venue is all about; Live at The LINK will provide an intimate gig and performance space for local emerging artists, and will help to develop the talent pipeline, so it seems only right that they are the first to grace the stage.

“We want The Link to become a creative community hub for the high street. The café bar offers a great environment for people to meet and enjoy a coffee or try our daytime menu. We are working closely with local venues and promoters to make sure this fits in with the vibrant grassroots scene in Stockton and Teesside. We will also be exploring working with groups in the community to create a creative and safe space.”
