Main Light Appoints Dave Pretz as Asset Manager

Dave Pretz joins Main Light as Asset Manager.

Main Light has welcomed the appointment of Dave Pretz as Asset Manager. Working from Delaware, Pretz’s role will cover both Main Light, East in Wilmington, DE and the soon to open Main Light, West facility in Las Vegas, NV. His responsibilities include inventory oversight and new equipment acquisitions company wide.

With 25 years of experience in the entertainment technology industry, Pretz has worked across the various market segments of concert touring, corporate trade shows, special events, and broadcast. His deep understanding of the industry and its technology began as a freelancer and grew during his tenure as Asset Manager/Warehouse Manager for Atomic Lighting. Prior to joining Main Light, Pretz was the Cross Rental Manager at 4Wall Entertainment, where he had also worked as Operations Manager and their Returns Manager. Having throughout his career supported the growth opportunities of companies that are in the midst of expansion Pretz’s appointment is well timed with Main Light’s West Coast opening.

“Everyone here at Main Light is great,” stated Pretz. “It is team effort, especially as we spin up Las Vegas with an all-hands-on deck mentality, which I enjoy. It’s a good fit, and I am really pleased to be part of it. Being responsible for both locations’ inventories and purchasing is a fun challenge as I get to help ensure that we have the right balance of equipment and the latest technology across the country. While working with Atomic Lighting, and then with 4Wall, I found that I enjoy being part of shop expansions. There are a lot of new opportunities offered with Main Light and I am excited to be part of making the Las Vegas shop a success and helping to continue their success here in Delaware.”

Main Light General Manager, Randy Mullican commented: “Dave brings to the role of Asset Manager in-depth knowledge on how production shops source the gear they need through sub-rentals and how to assess what technology should be acquired. This will allow Main Light, as a dry hire rental operation, to continue to build-on upon our successful business model. His background and his expertise are a great addition to our team here at Main Light, particularly now as we open Main Light, West. We all welcome Dave to the Main Light team.”
