K-array’s growing family has expanded with the appointment of industry expert Russell “Rusty” Waite as Global Business Development Manager.
With previous roles at Euphonix, Stage Tec and, most recently, EAW, Rusty brings over 25 years of extensive globetrotting experience providing sales and marketing, commercial growth and technical services to the broadcast, production, theatrical and corporate A/V market as well as sound designing/mixing and audio production, to K-array.
At K-array, Rusty will leverage his broad global background to support sales initiatives across all channels and lead business development worldwide. “My role as VP of Sales at EAW is what made my transition to K-array a natural one and my experiences as a sound designer, freelance audio broadcast A2 and recording engineer definitely help me to understand the challenges that our customers face.
“I look forward to contributing to the future growth of K-array and taking it to a level that it really deserves. There is a great team based in Italy and very strong established partners around the world!” Including the newly appointed Avitel Group as exclusive distributor for Portugal.
In the market since 1988, the Avitel Group relies on the experience of founder, Vitor Alves Luís, a practiced technician who got his start in 1972. Dedicated to the manufacture of equipment for professional use, namely amplifiers for PAs, dimmers, power units and lighting touch-panel control and mixing tables. By 1978, Luís was an expert in all things audio from the sale of equipment to its assembly, installation and assistance and created and registered the Avitel brand.
Avitel’s main focuses are distribution, consulting, project design and installations in the field of professional audio equipment and system integration, contributing to projects in theatres, social halls, music clubs, hotels, multifunctional spaces, TV stations, and sports facilities applications.
