CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala 2021 kicked off on the evening of 21 September at Xingyue Lake Wetland Park near Qionghai, Xichang. LED manufacturer, Gloshine joined forces with CCTV to build a 360° immersive circular stage – marking the biggest stage of the CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala to date.
The Mid-Autumn Festival Gala stage was set up on Xingyue Lake. One side is close to Qionghai, Xi Chang, and the other side is a modern new city. The main stage is set in the Jianchang ancient city in Xichang, and the “root carving” Ficus virens Ait coiled on the ancient city wall reappears on the city wall, showing the integration of ancient trees and cities over thousands of years old.
2200m² of Gloshine LED screen was deployed to create an immersive viewing experience for concertgoers. The on-screen content saw seven stars accompany the moon, fiery trees and silver flowers – combining reality with fiction, reflecting ancient and modern times, to create a cultural sense visual feast.
In the Moon City area of the festival, 1000m² of Gloshine LS 3.91 outdoor LED panels made up the main screen, with content ranging from a vast sea of stars and a bright moon on the sea, right through to a picturesque mountain range, with water and the cities in the backdrop.
700㎡ column display screens on both sides of the stage were made up by Gloshine Carbon fibre series cabinets CB3.91mm LED panels, 12 square columns were combined with special effects, sometimes lined up and sometimes scattered, showing different on-screen content, such as clear water and green hills, dreamy outer space, frame by frame full of texture.
Complementing the aforementioned was 500m² Gloshine AR series 4.81mm LED panels on the floor, along with 360° circular stage stands on the surface of Xingyue Lake. The panoramic stage had no blind spots in the line of sight. Pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, moonlight upon the lotus pond and a full moon visual content complemented each other, presenting a visual feast with beautiful romance and local characteristics.
This year’s choreography design was based on “the seven stars of the Big Dipper”, as a starting point to design the stage space. In order to present a better visual effect, the Gloshine team and the party director team repeatedly discussed the display plan and construction details.
