Ben Pitt returns to Visualization UK as Lead Project Engineer

Ben Pitt, who was Visualization UK's first member of staff re-joins the company as lead project engineer.

Visualization UK Managing Director, Nick Pidgeon has welcomed Ben Pitt back to the team, having appointed him as the company’s first employee in 2005.

Pitt, who worked for the company for nearly 12 years covering install, rack build, staff training and quality assurance, left in 2017 to pursue a career managing high-end, rack and install projects within the marine sector.

Visualization’s diverse approach to technical solutions was the main driving force for Pitt’s return to the company. “With Viz taking such a different approach to technical solutions I can see new avenues to explore and build on my existing skillset, whilst contributing my experience and knowledge at the same time,” he stated.

As lead project engineer, Pitt will be responsible for overseeing the installation of specialist solutions and services on behalf of the company’s channel partners, from full Direct View LED installs through to rolling out unified communications. “I understand the importance of the technical expertise, teamwork and clear communication to ensure we go over and above our partners and their end clients expectations,” added Pitt.

Thanks to the growing reputation of Visualization, the team has evolved and expanded over the years since the company’s conception. A decade of exponential growth has led the company to branch out into product distribution, maintenance, and support, alongside its engineering heritage, offering customers technical solutions hand in hand with the ultimate customer experience.

“Visualization has given me the opportunity to work and travel to some of the most special places on the planet,” said Pitt. “From server rooms of global technology companies to the social environments of famous people. It has also afforded me the opportunity to work with other engineers I now regard as friends.”

Owing to the strong training programme employed at Viz UK people who start with minimal AV knowledge are able to quickly grow into capable and competent engineers. “This has been proven by multiple people within the industry who have worked through their training programme who now continue with successful careers,” says Pitt.

Pitt’s first tasks within his new position will be getting to know the growing team and gauging the flow of jobs and customer leads. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, he will be developing the skills of the trainees and newer members of the team, to broaden their skillsets and career opportunities within the company.

Being involved in the future growth of the business is what excites Pitt most about his comeback: “There is so much of a wider horizon that has been opened from the development of Visualization as a technical solutions distributor, concludes Pitt. “It is very exciting to be a part of it,” he said.

“It is great to welcome Ben back to the team. He will be an integral part of the growth of Visualization,” added Pidgeon. “His wealth of knowledge and experience is going to have a positive influence on the team as they learn and develop their skills.”
