Ayrton at LDI 2018 Las Vegas

Ayrton continues to push the envelope as it brings new products to LDI 2018.

Ayrton returns to LDI 2018 bringing yet more innovation with fabulous new products that include the newly launched BoraS and KhamsinS fixtures, alongside previews of its new DiabloS, DiabloTC, MerakS and MerakTC automated fixtures.

The new products can be seen on Booth 1139 where Ayrton will be showcasing them in their now much-anticipated light show, alongside their exclusive US distributor, A.C.T. Lighting. The Ayrton portfolio will be also on display on Booth 2105, represented by Theatrixx Technologies, Ayrton’s exclusive distributor in Canada.

Launched just last month at PLASA London 2018, BoraS is Ayrton’s exciting new high output, low power LED wash light, complete with gobo projection and framing capabilities for stunning aerial effects. Bora-S’s extreme optical efficiency delivers a remarkable output of 38,000lm from an 8000K white LED engine using just 750W to surpass any other LED fixture in its class and 1500W/1700W discharge fixtures at a fraction of the power consumption.

Bora-S is the perfect washlight for large scale venues, outdoor and indoor arenas, being fully featured with a 178mm PC front lens for optimal performance, a 8:1 zoom delivering a beam range of 8° to 64°, full field framing, an iris, a rotating gobo wheel, 2 colour wheels and a full CMY + CTO colour system with a CRI greater than 70 –with incredibly smooth transitions at all focal lengths.

Also launched at PLASA London 2018, Ayrton will be showing its brand new KhamsinSautomated LED profile spotlight. The brightest LED profile spotlight on the market, outputting a massive 39,000lm, Khamsin-S has it all: unparalleled optical efficiency using the same modest 750W white LED engine as Bora-S and a wealth of quality features that include 2 rotating gobo wheels, an animation wheel, full field framing, 2 prisms, an iris, 2 frosts, 1 fixed colour wheel and a full CMY + linear CTO colour system, plus a 9:1 zoom with a 6.5° to 56° beam range.

These combine with Khamsin-S’s brilliance to give lighting designers a full toolbox with which to realise their design dreams, and full rein on their design specs with no compromise.

TC versions of both Bora and Khamsin with TM30 results over 90 are available on request so customers can choose between the “TC-version” (True Colour) with high colour rendering performance, or opt for maximum output with the “S-Version” (Stage).

Beautifully designed for all large venues and touring applications and offering a complete range of solutions for lighting designers, Ayrton Bora-S and Khamsin-S also offer an enormous return on investment for many reasons, all of which make them particularly attractive to rental houses: their huge optical efficiency, compared to discharge fixtures and other LED fixtures, results in a massive output of up to 39,000 lumens, from an LED source that uses only 750W of power.

DiabloTC and DiabloS, Ayrton’s new automated profile spots will also be previewed for the first time at LDI 2018. Due for release early 2019, Diablo-TC offers a 14,000-lumen output calibrated at 7000K with a CRI greater than 90; the high output version, Diablo-S, offers a 17,000-lumen output, 8000K white light source and a native CRI greater than 70.

Both models have 8:1 zoom optics giving 6.7° to 53° beam range; sophisticated CMY colour mixing, variable CTO, a fixed colour wheel with 7 complementary colours, an indexable rotating gobo wheel with 7 glass gobos, a graphic animation wheel, iris, frost, and full framing system. All this from a power consumption of just 300W.

Finally, Ayrton’s new MerakTC and MerakSwash luminaires will also be previewed on the booth. Super small in size, Merak-TC outputs 13,000 lumens from a 300W, 7000K white source and has a greater than 90 CRI. Merak-S is the high output version of Merak-TC and delivers a fantastic 16,000-lumen output from its 300W, 8000K source which aligns it with an 800W/1000W discharge fixtures.

Ayrton will also be supporting the inaugural Knight of Illumination Awards USA which takes place on 20 October 2018 at the Foundry in the SLS Hotel, Las Vegas and celebrates the work of lighting and video designers. Ayrton has long supported the KOI Awards in London and will be sponsoring the Entertainment & Events Award on this glittering occasion at the first American KOI Awards evening.
