ADJ Unveils Stunning Lightshow & Launches New Entour Atmospheric Products at Prolight + Sound 2017

At this year’s Prolight + Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany, ADJ officially unveiled three new additions to its Entour series of professional atmospheric effect generators. The company used its large stand at this significant international industry event to showcase the full range of production-caliber ADJ moving head fixtures – incorporating spot, wash, beam, and hybrid models – as well as the AV Series of modular LED video panels in a stunning lightshow.

Due to the popularity of the initial two products in the ADJ Entour series – the Entourage touring faze machine and Entour Venue installation faze machine – the company is expanding the range with three new products that debuted for the first time at Prolight+Sound 2017 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center April 4-7, 2017 in Hall 5.0, Stand C81. These new units are the Entour Haze Pro, a professional oil based haze machine; the Entour Cyclone, a high-power DMX-controlled fan; and the Entour Snow, a powerful synthetic snow machine.

The new ADJ Entour Haze Pro is a touring-grade haze machine built into a durable flight case. It offers a very quick warm-up time and an impressive output of 3,000 cubic ft. per minute. This allows large, outdoor stages and venues to be easily and quickly filled with lightshow-enhancing haze whenever it is required. The Entour Haze Pro oil based haze hangs in the air longer than the Faze Machines and features an easy to read LED function display, with built-in timer, and is also fitted with both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR sockets allowing DMX control with a choice of 1-, 2-, and 4-channel modes.

Ideal for spreading fog, as well as providing theatrical wind effects, the new ADJ Entour Cyclone is a versatile and powerful portable fan. It offers speed adjustment between 500 and 2,600rpm (500 and 3,000rpm @ 230V) and DMX operation – using a choice of 1 or 2 control channels – allowing air movement of any velocity to be triggered on cue. The robustly-constructed machine features protective metal grilles to the front and rear of the fan as well as a dual-purpose bracket that can be used to either stand the unit on the floor or attach it to truss or another similar support structure.

Completing the expanded line-up of the Entour series is the new Entour Snow, a high-output snow machine designed for professional installation and touring applications. The machine is capable of projecting imitation snow upwards to a distance of 10m and outwards across a distance of 12m, making this unit ideal for large venues and stage productions. The flexible machine offers variable output, with the fan running at 50% or 100%, as well as a built-in timer and both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR sockets for DMX control. Housed in a tough metal case, and fitted with a variable-angle hanging bracket, the Entour Snow if a professional snow machine ideal for both fixed installations and touring productions.

In addition to these brand-new products launching at the show, the ADJ team also used their booth at Prolight+Sound 2017 to showcase the company’s full range of Vizi series and Focus Spot series professional moving head fixtures. Including spot, wash, beam, and hybrid units, as well as both discharge lamp and LED powered models, in addition to their 3D Vision panels, COB Cannon Washes and Saber Spot Series high powered LED pinspots with a stunning, eye-popping light show designed by Dutch lighting designer, Bas Kemper.

The ADJ light show had a fixture suitable for every kind of touring production and permanent installation project. Significant recent additions to the range – which was on displayed in Frankfurt – include the Vizi BSW 300, true LED-powered beam/spot/wash hybrid fixture, as well as the Vizi Q Wash7 and Vizi Hex Wash7 LED-powered wash fixtures that each offer motorised zoom for a beam angle variable between 5- and 55-degrees.

ADJ’s Prolight + Sound stand also showcased the AV series of LED video panels. Offering an unbeatable combination of performance, reliability, and affordability, the 6mm pitch AV6X panel made a huge impact on the AV industry when it launched two years ago, bringing this technology into the realms of affordability for many medium-sized venues and production companies for whom it was previously unattainable. Building on this success, last year ADJ expanded the AV series with the addition of the 3.9mm pitch AV3 model that offers AV customers the option of a higher-definition AV panel for situations where viewers are closer to the screen. Both products will be available for viewing at the show, and are sure to garner lots of attention from visitors.

“Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt continues to serve as an important opportunity for us to connect with customers and distributors from across Europe and beyond,” commented ADJ’s European Sales and Marketing Manager, Kris Dawber. “We had the opportunity of showcasing the latest additions to our Entour range of professional atmosphere-generating equipment as well as or full range of professional-caliber Vizi Series moving heads and LED video panels. Over recent years, the ADJ range has expanded significantly to the point that we now have a full portfolio of products to cover all the needs of professional touring, rental, and production companies, as well as equipment installers working in all sizes of venue. The light show, designed by Bas Kemper, really illustrated what our products are capable of doing.”
