Broadweigh is exhibiting on Stand C22, where visitors can meet the team, see the latest Broadweigh technology in action and discuss how load monitoring can be built more effectively into both touring and permanent applications.
A key focus on the stand this year is Broadweigh Wired Digital, a new wired load monitoring system designed specifically for theatre and live performance environments. Manufactured in the UK, Broadweigh Wired Digital builds on the company’s long-proven wireless load monitoring technology, combining trusted load sensing with a robust wired solution suited to a wide range of applications.
Matthew Youngs, Marketing Manager at Broadweigh, commented: “ABTT provides an important opportunity for the industry to see the system, understand where it fits in the market and speak directly to the Broadweigh team about future applications.”
Designed for both permanent installation and touring use, Broadweigh Wired Digital allows a monitoring point to be left installed in the rig, with the Broadweigh unit and TwistLink load shackle in place. Touring productions can then quickly attach into this existing setup using a standard shackle connection, giving them immediate access to load monitoring without needing to alter the rigging.
This approach has the potential to save valuable time during load-ins and make best practice load monitoring easier to adopt on the road. For fixed venues, the wired design also offers dependable, continuous monitoring that can be relied upon day to day.
Broadweigh will also be demonstrating Live Load, giving visitors the chance to see how load data can be made more accessible, visible and useful for riggers, production teams, venues and designers.
“ABTT is the ideal place for us to have proper conversations with the people who will be using this technology in real theatre and live performance environments,” said Elliot Van Laere, Product Specialist at Broadweigh. “Broadweigh Wired Digital has been developed with the needs of theatre very much in mind. It’s about making load monitoring practical, robust and easier to integrate, whether that’s as part of a permanent venue installation or as a system that touring productions can quickly connect into.”
Ease of use has been a priority throughout the development of Broadweigh Wired Digital. The system is designed to be simple to deploy and easy to interpret, allowing crews to understand loads quickly without adding complexity to already busy production environments.
By making load data more accessible, Broadweigh Wired Digital will support designers and riggers in working more confidently and ambitiously, particularly in older venues where structural limitations can restrict what is possible. With better visibility of loads, productions can make informed decisions and safely deliver more complex and creative shows within existing constraints.
Visitors to the Broadweigh stand can meet the company’s experienced team, including Elliot, Matt and Emma Mullan. The team will be available to discuss Broadweigh Wired Digital, Live Load and the wider Broadweigh range, as well as practical load monitoring applications across theatre, touring, venues and live events.
