ROXX has strengthened its presence in France with the appointment of François Mondié as Business Development Manager for ROXX France. With more than two decades of experience in professional lighting and entertainment technology, Mondié brings an extensive network and a broad industry background spanning sales, systems integration and technical consultancy, as well as the planning and outfitting of cultural venues and lighting distribution.
“My most recent role gave me the opportunity to look at the lighting market as a whole, and ROXX was one of the brands that really caught my attention,” he said. “It is a young, agile and innovative company with a very personal approach. For me, those are important qualities in a market where being distinctive also means being able to respond quickly to what users actually need.”
One of the qualities Mondié particularly values about ROXX is the company’s application-driven approach to product development. Its fixtures are designed around the demands of professional use, combining strong lighting performance with thoughtful engineering and a clear focus on usability across a wide range of applications.
“What impressed me immediately was the overall sense of quality,” said Mondié. “The fixtures feel robust and very well made. You also see a lot of thought in the accessories – everything has clearly been designed with practical use and compatibility in mind.”
Mondié believes this approach is well suited to the French market, where professional users are looking for powerful, reliable tools that can perform across a wide range of applications and working environments.
Within the ROXX portfolio, Mondié expects the NEO, ICON and brand-new CLUSTER Blinder EVO series to resonate particularly well in France. NEO comprises powerful, weatherproof LED wash and effect fixtures for demanding entertainment applications, while ICON is ROXX’s range of professional LED Fresnels for stage, broadcast, film and exhibition use. The brand-new CLUSTER B2 EVO and B4 EVO audience blinders combine the visual character of classic DWE tungsten sources with modern LED performance and full CLUSTER system compatibility.
Over the coming months, Mondié will focus on introducing ROXX to his established network of resellers, lighting designers and other professional users, and on creating opportunities for them to experience the portfolio first-hand.
“My first priority is to get the right people to take a serious look at ROXX and experience the products for themselves,” said Mondié. “What excites me most is representing a manufacturer whose products I genuinely believe in. It also gives me the opportunity to use my experience to support customers, share knowledge and help them find the right solutions for their applications.”
“François knows the French professional lighting market inside out and has built an exceptional network over the years” says Global Business Development Manager Michael Staffopoulos. “Just as importantly, he understands what matters to users in their day-to-day work. That combination of market knowledge, technical understanding and close customer relationships makes him a great fit for ROXX.”
