This week on TPi Talks, we speak to one of the organisers behind the #WeMakeEvents Manchester March. tube UK’s Melvyn Coote spoke to us about the plan for the protest and what he and the rest of the organisers hope to achieve. He also gives us an insight into the realities of lockdown for one of the city’s largest audio specialists. The march in Manchester was one of many events taking place across the UK under the banner of #WeMakeEvents to raise awareness and shine a light on the imminent collapse of the UK touring, festival and events industry.
