Success for Live Trakway at FS Awards

Live Trakway, Europe’s largest temporary access company, celebrated after success at the Festival Supplier Awards. The company scooped up the Best Fencing/Hoarding category for a 2nd year and Best Temporary Roadway/Walkway for the 4th year running.

As suppliers to the UK events industry, Live Trakway offer an extensive range of fencing and crowd barriers, ranging from their Super-Fortress fence that is famed for its use at the Glastonbury Festival, to a range of crowd control barriers that are installed in their thousands at events across the UK. Live also hold an exclusive contract with the Met Police for barrier and fencing installation across the city of London.

It was the companies “consistent performance across numerous large-scale operations and their commitment to new innovations, demonstrating their position as a reliable industry favourite,” that secured them the title of Best Fencing/Hoarding

When it came to presenting the award for Best Temporary Roadway/Walkway, the judging panel were particularly impressed by Live’s flexible management model, used at Creamfields festival in 2017. They said that this model showed “out of the box thinking and demonstrates that Live is able to provide a service that can adapt 24/7 to a site’s build schedule. Installing Creamfields in half the time of previous years is a huge leap forward. They have shown that to stand still and repeat isn’t good enough.”

Geoff Goringe, Senior Accounts Manager (Trakway) and Aaron Minogue Operations Manager (Barriers) accepted the awards at London’s Hurlingham Club on Thursday 25 January 2018. Goringe said: “We are thrilled to have taken home two awards at the Festival Supplier Awards last week and are proud to be an innovative supplier to the events industry. Creamfields ran like clockwork. We employed a scaled version of our new Glastonbury management model. We set up a mini depot with portable accommodation, a temporary yard of products and tools and 24/7 shifts to react to changing timescales and additional requirements.

“This model enables us to dovetail into the whole site’s changing build schedule. Because we worked so closely with the organisers, we installed the 28,000m fencing and barriers and 17,000m of plastic and aluminium roadway in nearly half the time it took in 2016.”
