Pearce Hire looks to the Future

The company is delighted to confirm its participation with the very first Production Futures event taking place on 6th October at Production Park in Wakefield.

“We believe in investing time and energy to nurture the skills and enthusiasm for our industry from the next generation of technicians, designers and producers,” stated oShaun Pearce, MD of Pearce Hire whose company has an established intern programme with local college PRC (Peterborough Regional College).

He continued: “We have a long-held commitment at Pearce Hire to engage with those students studying at PRC, offering internships with us, which often leads to seasonal or even full time employment of those students who really shine and have a passion for the work we do. Getting involved with Production Futures, and supporting this new style event focussed entirely on our industry’s next generation has a natural synergy with our ‘modus operandi’ here at Pearce Hire.”

It makes sense therefore for Pearce Hire to be at an event where students from across the UK will gather together for a one-day event focussed entirely on learning, industry networking and career development, and to engage with future employers like Pearce Hire in an environment created entirely for the needs of the production industry’s future generation.

Pearce Hire has over 30 years experience providing bespoke power solutions, stage and site lighting, audio and staging, project consultancy and technical production services to the outdoor and indoor event, festival and corporate event industries. They are a highly regarded production services and rental provider and have an increasing portfolio of events and customers. With this expansion, Pearce Hire is in a period of staff recruitment in order to continue to provide the excellent customer service for which they have become highly regarded. So Production Futures provides an excellent platform to meet with some of those students who may become either future customers, or future employees.

“Pearce Hire sees Production Futures as an excellent opportunity for meeting with students from across the UK. It is often the case that students can feel side-lined at traditional format trade shows where product sales and service sales are the priority for the exhibiting companies. At this event the focus is firmly on the students and their needs at a formative time in their careers.” He continued: “Production Futures will be an excellent opportunity for us to sit down and talk to the students about the range of services we provide at Pearce Hire for clients including Cambridge Live, Events Unlimited, the Forestry Commission, Loudsound, Run For All, Urban Festivals and Warners Group Publications. And from that to talk on a one-to-one basis on how they can get involved.”

“We have a strong CSR ethos in our company and provide practical training and support to any student working for us. We pride ourselves on our excellent standards of service and efficiencies for our clients no matter how large, or how small a project is. To achieve this we need an excellent, adaptable and highly trained work force. Production Futures will help us continue to achieve this,” concludes Pearce.
