HIVE has launched the HIVE Academy, a new training and certification programme designed to support users of its media server platform and help teams get the most from HIVE – from initial setup through to advanced workflows and large-scale deployments.
Built around real-world use, HIVE Academy provides a structured pathway for operators, designers, engineers and integrators working across live events, touring and immersive environments. The programme combines hands-on training with formal certification, giving users a clear framework to build skills, validate their knowledge and deliver projects with confidence.
The launch formalises a training approach already delivered globally across projects and partner sessions, bringing it together into an official syllabus with defined modules, certification and a consistent standard.
“Training has always been part of what we do, but until now it’s been quite organic,” said Nigel Sadler, Chief Pollinator at HIVE. “HIVE Academy is about formalising that – giving people a structured path to follow, a recognised certification and a clear standard we can measure against. It gives users confidence in their own skills, and it gives customers confidence in the people delivering their projects.”
The programme is built around three core modules, covering software fundamentals, advanced features and integration best practices. Together, they take users from understanding the HIVE ecosystem through to deploying complex media server workflows in real-world environments.
HIVE Academy is delivered either in-person or remotely, making it easier for teams to access training wherever they are, alongside an always-on Knowledge Base for ongoing guidance and troubleshooting.
Certification is awarded to participants who complete the programme and demonstrate applied understanding, helping to establish a recognised standard across the HIVE ecosystem. As adoption grows, the Academy also plays a key role in building a stronger global community of certified users, partners and integrators.
With initial training sessions set to roll out across key regions, HIVE Academy will continue to evolve alongside the platform, ensuring users have the tools, knowledge and support to deliver increasingly ambitious projects.
