GSPS opens the largest touring rehearsal complex in the U.S.

Gateway Studios & Production Services (GSPS) has officially opened its world-class studio complex in Chesterfield, Missouri. Now active and in high demand, the largest and most advanced rehearsal and production campus in the United States is hosting clients on-site, with new bookings continuing to build.

The 32-acre facility is designed to meet the demands of the most complex touring productions, television and film projects, and high-end corporate events – offering a seamless, purpose-built environment for creatives and crews to prepare, collaborate, and execute at the highest level.

“We set out to build a space that solves real challenges for artists and crews preparing to take their tour on the road,” said Trey Kerr, CEO of Gateway Studios & Production Services. “Our facility reflects that vision – purpose-built, flexible, and ready to meet the demands of any production.”

Since opening, GSPS has begun hosting a variety of clients and productions, and the momentum continues to grow. Production teams are engaging the full capabilities of the complex, from rehearsal and staging to on-site support services, technical infrastructure, production support, and more.

The campus also features three fully equipped previsualisation (pre-vis) suites, built to give creative teams a streamlined, comfortable space to design and refine lighting, video, and staging elements before hitting the studio floor. Additionally, secure storage facilities for touring acts are available now.

Studio 80: The flagship space is the largest dedicated rehearsal studio in North America, offering an unmatched 52,500 square feet of rehearsal space, an 80-foot grid height, and a 2,000,000-pound grid weight capacity. Complete with a 10,800-square-foot receiving/staging area with six loading docks, a drive-in ramp, shore power for six buses, and 15,000-square-feet of dedicated dressing rooms with ensuite private bathrooms, offices, and a catering lounge.

Studio 75: Featuring 15,000 square feet of rehearsal space, a 75-foot grid height, and a 1,000,000-pound grid weight capacity, Studio 75 is perfect for arena sized productions. Amenities include a 4,000-square-foot receiving/staging area, three loading docks, a drive-in ramp, and 8,000-square-feet of dedicated dressing rooms with ensuite private bathrooms, offices, and a catering lounge.

The complex includes 15,700 square feet of open space with a 48-foot ceiling with rigging points at 42 feet. Additional features include a 3,400-square-foot receiving/staging area, one dedicated loading dock with leveler and truck power, a drive-in ramp, and two offices with dedicated restrooms. This space also offers secure storage for touring acts, measuring 14 feet wide by 30 feet deep, with two 5-foot-wide gates, providing a total opening of 10 feet for easy access and ample space for equipment.

The Gateway Studios Campus is proud to collaborate with a select group of partners to deliver a premium experience for every client. On-site catering is provided by The Goddess Rocks Catering, known for its artist-focused hospitality. Rhino supplies expert production labor, and SGPS ShowRig powers the staging infrastructure that brings all sizes of productions to life.

“This facility was designed from the ground up to meet the practical needs of the crews who bring live entertainment to life,” said Garry Brown, President of Operations at GSPS. “From rigging and power to comfort and privacy, we’ve created an environment where teams can focus, collaborate, and ultimately craft the kind of incredible live experiences that fans will remember long after the show.”

These partnerships reflect GSPS’s commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency – bringing together a team that understands the pace, pressure, and precision of entertainment.

Phase two of the Gateway Studios campus is scheduled for completion in fall 2025. This next stage of development will introduce Studio 65 and a new office building. Studio 65 will offer 12,500 square feet of rehearsal space, a 65-foot grid height, and an 800,000-pound grid capacity – providing a versatile, fully equipped environment for tour prep in a more intimate setting. The new office building will serve as GSPS headquarters and include leasing opportunities for industry partners, creating a collaborative ecosystem.
