Clear-Com has announced Annabelle Gauthier as the recipient of the 2025 USITT Stage Management Award, which Clear-Com sponsors yearly. This honour, presented annually at the USITT Conference & Stage Expo, recognises an outstanding student stage manager for their dedication, leadership, and excellence in stage management.
The United States Institute for Theatre Technology, founded in 1960, serves as a hub for dialogue, research, and education among theatre design and technology practitioners. The annual USITT Conference & Stage Expo, where the award will be presented, is a cornerstone event that connects industry professionals, educators, and students, offering a platform for networking in entertainment technology.
Clear-Com has a long-standing history of supporting industry education and professional development, aligning with USITT’s mission to advance theatre technology and design. By sponsoring the Stage Management Award, Clear-Com reaffirms its dedication to equipping the next generation of theatre professionals with the tools and resources needed to succeed in an evolving industry.
Gauthier, a fourth-year Design & Technology and Psychology major at Colorado State University, has an impressive portfolio of stage management credits, including Stage Managing Everybody, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Spring Dance Capstone. She has also served as Assistant Stage Manager for productions such as The Wolves, The Tender Land and Spring Dance Concert. Beyond her work at CSU, Gauthier completed a technical apprenticeship at the Santa Fe Opera, further honing her skills in the field.
“Clear-Com is honoured to support the next generation of stage managers, and Annabelle Gauthier exemplifies the leadership, organisational skills, and passion that this award represents,” said Vic Lombardi, Regional Sales Manager at Clear-Com, and Stage Management Award Presenter. “We are thrilled to recognise Annabelle’s achievements and bright future in the industry.”
The award was presented on 6 March at the USITT Mainstage at the Columbus Convention Center. This marks the first time Lombardi has had the honour of presenting the award, following in the footsteps of longtime presenter Jay Wallace.
As part of the award, Gauthier received a scholarship and complimentary registration to attend the USITT Conference & Stage Expo, where she had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and peers.
Clear-Com has been a supporter of USITT and its mission to foster education, innovation, and collaboration within the performing arts industry. By championing young talent, Clear-Com continues its commitment to the future of live production and stage management.
