During a busy ISE in Barcelona, where both Ayrton’s VIP and lightshow stands were packed with visitors for all four days, Ayrton surprised the industry with the premiere of Rawbeam 350, its brand-new laser-sourced ultra-compact fixture that emulates a discharge-style beam, yet with all the efficiency and power of a laser source.
Rawbeam 350 – the discharge-style beam reimagined in a laser fixture
A compact, flat-beam fixture with the same footprint and dimensions as Stradale, Rawbeam 350 delivers a remarkable output of 1,200,000 lux at 10m. It also features a 160 mm front lens, and a proprietary 13-lens optical system offering a 35x zoom ratio with a working range from 1.2° to 42°.
Uniquely, Rawbeam 350’s optical system is engineered around an entirely linear zoom which travels the full length of its 1.2° to 42° range without changing between beam and spot modes – a remarkable achievement that ensures the wider beam is as even and efficient as the, traditionally easier to achieve, narrow beam.
Sharing all the features common to Ayrton’s Ultimate Series in terms of miniaturisation, colour capabilities, effects and movement (including continuous pan and tilt), Rawbeam 350 is equipped with multiple graphic tools that open the door to razor-sharp visual effects and broader, more versatile applications.
Like every Ayrton luminaire since 2023, Rawbeam is IP65 rated and has been engineered to be equally at home outdoors or indoors, including in saline environments, while remaining fully accessible and tipping the scales at an exceptional 24.5 kg.
Fully engineered from the ground up, Rawbeam 350’s size and versatility ensure it is the new workhorse fixture for all kinds of productions from EDM to television studios and everything in between. The excitement it generated at the show was palpable: “Visitors were amazed at the compact size of Rawbeam 350 which remains packed with all the features and capabilities of its fellows in the Ultimate Series,” said Marc Lorenz, Ayrton’s Designer Relationship Manager, “…yet demonstrates all the abilities of a traditional discharge fixture from a powerful laser source.”
Smaller, lighter, brighter and simply ahead of the rest, Rawbeam 350 is the latest fixture to demonstrate the unique engineering and innovative ideas that keeps Ayrton at the forefront of our industry. Rawbeam 350 will be available from this spring. Also seen for the first time at ISE were previews of Ayrton’s new Nando 1202 Wash, MagicBlade Neo and Naja fixtures:
Nando 1202 Wash
Part of the Nando family, Nando 1202 embraces a minimalist design philosophy and is purpose-built for hybrid use, indoors or out. Nando 1202 is equipped with 28 high-performance 42W RGB-L LEDs delivering a luminous flux of 25,000lm, and additive colour mixing that produces beautifully blended pastels and saturated colours with flawless consistency, and a CRI exceeding 86. It shifts effortlessly from Beam to Wash, boasting a 15:1 zoom ratio and an exceptionally wide operating range — from a tight 3.5° beam to a generous 53° spread.
MagicBlade Neo
Part of the Dot Neo family, MagicBlade Neo is an entirely new concept—an organic and innovative luminaire designed to create infinitely reconfigurable curtains of multiform light. Built on the foundation of the all-new MagicDot Neo, it features five independently moving heads, spaced just 3mm apart, with continuous pan and tilt rotation.
Equipped with five individual 120W RGB-L multi-chip LED sources, each paired with a high-efficiency 100mm optic, every beam seamlessly transitions from Beam to Wash, offering a 10:1 zoom ratio and an extensive range from 3° to 30°. Each lens of the MagicBlade Neo features a high-definition LiquidEffect on its periphery, allowing the creation of intricate graphic effects.
Ayrton continues to shape the story of laser-sourced fixtures with the advent of Naja: a weatherproof, ultra-powerful fixture that embraces excess in a remarkably compact frame. Naja boasts breathtaking brightness and astonishing precision, featuring a 35x zoom ratio (0.6° – 21°) with flawless uniformity, an outsized 200mm lens and a staggering 1,840,000 lux at 10m.
Its technical arsenal is equally impressive: a high-speed CMY colour mixing system using rotating discs ensures perfect colour rendering, a dual-wheel configuration carries 92 metal gobos — fixed and rotating — offering unparalleled sculpting of light. These gobos can be combined with two layers of three rotating prism effects, unlocking a world of image-multiplying, show-stopping visual possibilities. IP65 rated and with continuous pan & tilt, Naja weighs just 31.5kg and takes the same form factor as Rivale.
Nando 1202 Wash, MagicBlade Neo and Naja will all be released later this year. These new innovations were joined on the stand by Ayrton’s Mamba, Nando 502, Stradale, Rivale, Veloce and the mighty EagleStrike, all of which took part in the stunning new Ayrton lightshow with an entirely new design by Stephane Migné, programmed by Willy Heilmann. During this show each fixture proved equally engaging when not illuminated as when taking part in the show, to the extent that each seemingly assumed a personality and collective consciousness of its own. The effect was breath-taking, eerie and exciting in equal measures and drew crowds for the duration of the four days.
