Outline has released a new software update for control application, ISAAC.
“We have perfected the number-crunching routines behind our renowned EQ filters section. Returning an increase in accuracy and efficiency that allows us to bring phase response into the EQuation, if you pardon the pun, with tweaks at hand on all filter types, an improved graphic representation, and a zoom function reaching closer to new depths in fine-tuning,” said Andrea Ippolito, software developer at Outline.
“All that glitters isn’t just under the bonnet, though,” added Gabriele Maucione, software developer at Outline. “We’ve aimed significant refinements to the user experience, too, like new dialog functions at both Input- and Output Patch sections’ assignments, for a more responsive feedback to any user action, and a new ‘ripple’ feature to cascade channels’ multiple elements recursively, making system setup both quicker and leaner.”
Paolo Calza, application engineer at Outline, noted: “A fluid interaction with the users adds real value to a device like Newton, geared since its inception to most competent pros, who can now benefit from two further features. Bugs can now be flagged to our attention right from within ISAAC, straight to a set form on our website, then there’s a Newton ‘status dump’ feature exporting the exact machine’s parameters on a file, for a truly sandboxed troubleshooting from Outline’s HQ, without ever directly connecting to it.”
