TAIT has acquired Airworks. This strategic acquisition strengthens TAIT’s commitment to delivering fan experiences by expanding its creative range and production offerings for renowned global performers and live events with Airworks.
Since starting in rock ’n’ roll in 1978, TAIT has pushed the boundaries of concert and live event production for the world’s biggest artists. Today, the company has expanded its services and evolved beyond concert touring, bringing creative expertise and engineering innovation to theme parks, world expos, global theatres, festivals, and fan experiences worldwide.
Founded in 2002, Airworks has earned a reputation for producing visually stunning, large-scale inflatable works of art that have become iconic centrepieces on global tours, major festivals, and art installations. From towering stage props to immersive scenic elements, their work has been featured on iconic tours for artists like Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Muse as well as top-tier festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Mysteryland, and Tomorrowland. TAIT and Airworks have already partnered on several tours including Lady Gaga’s The Mayhem Ball Tour, Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, and The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour.
“We’re always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of live entertainment,” said Brian Levine, Chief Executive, Live & Brand, TAIT. “Bringing Airworks into TAIT adds a distinctive creative capability and builds on the innovative solutions we’re known for. Together, our combined expertise will help scale the groundbreaking work that Matthew and the Airworks team have developed and further enhance how we deliver spectacular experiences for partners and audiences.”
Airworks’ highly realistic sculptures are lightweight and can be set up quickly and efficiently, supporting our partners in the live entertainment and touring market. The demand for immersive and visually driven live experiences is at an all-time high, and Airworks’ air sculptures and inflatable technology bring a larger than life and intricately detailed visual payoff within an engineered compact design.
“In joining TAIT, we’ll be able to scale our artistry, creativity, and innovation,” said Matthew Whitehead, Founder and CEO, Airworks. “Through our partnership, we can build on our passion for live events and revolutionise the industry, creating aesthetic experiences that are immersive, highly efficient, and technologically advanced for more audiences around the world.”
