The first Avolites D7-330 and D7-215 consoles have arrived in the Balkans region – received by Belgrade, Serbia-based Avolites distributor, Light & Sound Design D.O.O. (LSD) – where they will be in action with the team led by Milan Scepanovic.
LSD proactively distributes the full range of Robe brands – Anolis, Artistic Licence, LSC, and Avolites – across Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania. “It is great to have the first D7 models – to my knowledge – in the whole of southeast Europe! The consoles are powerful, flexible and portable and they look very cool! Given the general presence of Avolites here in the region, I think there will be plenty of interest in the D7 and we will be out there getting these great products in front of as many people as possible!” said LSD’s CEO Milan Scepanovic.
The arrival of D7 follows hot on the heels of a three-day Avolites training workshop and seminar presented by Rogier Trok, the Sales and Technical Key Account Manager for Avolites in mainland Europe, attended by LSD customers and a range of other lighting practitioners, with 30 attendees from across the region and the industry. The format offered one day of basic training on Avolites’ Titan software and philosophy, a second day of advanced training, and a third day focused on video elements, the Avolites media server range and the brand’s Synergy integration protocol, which assists the seamless dual control of lighting and video in one visual solution.
LSD has been distributing Avolites since early 2024. “There is a large and enthusiastic fan base here in the Scepanovic. “People here use Avo in +45°C heat and dust of the summer and at -15°C in the mountains during the winter events, and it just keeps working.”
Several lighting designers and programmers rocked up to the seminars with their own Titan Mobile consoles, and there are also some out there with older Pearl consoles which are still working well. “This is a great testament to illustrate how investing in quality gives outstanding value,” added Scepanovic.
Moving forward, LSD’s weekly Avolites training sessions are planned in its spacious showrooms in central Belgrade. Trok is also poised to return in July to further skill LSD’s trainers.
