Pro Subrental Marketplace has now officially launched, offering brand new functionality and software integrations designed to simplify the process of event equipment cross-rental. The platform builds on the foundation of its original version, Second Warehouse, but with workflow and functional improvements to make it the tool that the rental industry needs.
“One of the most challenging problems to solve in our industry is finding and managing cross-rentals, especially if you’re working in a city in which you have very few contacts or if your friends don’t have the equipment you need available,” explained Pro Subrental Marketplace CEO, Greg Smith. “Our mission is to introduce you to new companies that may have the equipment you need, but you would never have found. More importantly we are looking to strengthen the relationships you already have by making the sub-rental process easier and more responsive.”
The main goal of Pro Subrental Marketplace is to get users a quote on the equipment they need as quickly as possible from multiple companies, allowing them to choose the right option for their gig. “We have improved the workflow to include a number of features the market was asking for,” continued Smith. “Adding equipment to your marketplace inventory is now easier with ‘smart matching’, providing users a way to add equipment not already in our massive inventory of gear. Requests for quotes will be emailed and texted instead of needing to retrieve them from a website. This way you can take the information and enter it into your rental software to quickly create a quote.”
Other improvements to make the platform more in tune with the way companies operate include importing from Excel with product analysis and matching, unique pages for outgoing and incoming rental requests and support for photographs of your own gear for renters to review. Integrations are also currently being developed with all the major rental software companies.
Perhaps the most important new feature is a star-rating system helping vendors and providers to know who they are dealing with. “We all know that this industry is built on relationships,” states Smith. “With our star-rating system you can have confidence in who you are dealing with and build new relationships based on mutual trust.”
Pro Subrental Marketplace is already live at www.prosubmarket.com with users and providers everywhere re-engaging with the platform and feeling the benefits of the upgrade.
