Ginger Owl Productions has shown its commitment to employee well-being by rewarding the team with a spa break after they completed an ambitious 30-week health and wellness challenge.
From 1 February to 31 August, the Ginger Owl team were challenged to complete a goal every day or week to help prioritise their health and well-being during the busy period of events.
Across 211 days, the team’s achievements included:
- 1,382,894 steps walked collectively
- 8,440 squats completed
- 4,220 minutes of meditation
- 7.5kg total weight lost across the team
- 11 laptop-free weekends
- 413 alcohol-free days
- 52 hours dedicated to creative writing
- 96 early nights prioritising sleep
- 3,660 minutes spent outdoors
- 62 personal training sessions
- 13 Pilates classes
- 533 steps climbed up Cologne Cathedral spire
As recognition for their hard work over the summer, the team were also treated to a two-day team meeting and spa getaway at Hoar Cross Hall in Burton upon Trent last week.
During the past year the team has also implemented its new GOAllAreas platform across more than 30 events across the UK and Europe, including the BRIT Awards 2025, British Summertime Festival, VE Day 80, Fashion Awards, and F1 75 Live at The O2.
Ginger Owl co-founder Nancy Skipper said: “We find that our team has difficulty achieving their work/life balance over the hectic summer months with challenges around sleep, food and frequent travel between sites and events. We came up with the Wellbeing Challenge as a way to promote small changes within the team, and the key point was to pick something that maintained consistency.
“We didn’t want them to set unachievable targets, just something small that could be done every day or week that allowed them time to focus on their own wellbeing and encouraged them to choose what would be the greatest benefit to them. You can see from the list that they selected a huge variety of challenges and we’re so happy to see the success they all had,” she continued.
Fellow co-founder Julie Chennells added: “We have had a really busy year so far, particularly with the rollout of GOAllAreas, and with the awards season and the festive period fast approaching, it was great to all get together to reflect on the year’s achievements and thank the team for their hard work with a little bit of R&R.”
