Drawn to the Light has announced the appointment of two familiar collaborators to our full-time studio team.
Pete Bird since August following his graduation from LIPA. Bird was named Lighting Newcomer of the Year 2023 at the Breakthrough Talent Awards, recognising his early impact within the industry. Prior to graduating, he gained experience working within lighting teams on major productions including The BRIT Awards and the Eurovision Song Contest. Since joining DTTL, he has contributed across a wide range of projects, including development work with Imagination for McLaren Automotive, progressing from drafting support into a broader studio associate role.
Rae Atkin joins Drawn to the Light as Draftsperson, stepping into the role after freelancing with the studio since October. Over the past three years, Atkin has built experience across a wide range of projects and roles, beginning with her time at Flare Lighting, where she developed a strong technical foundation. She was recognised at the Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Awards in 2022, an acknowledgement that helped give her the confidence and momentum to progress her career. Rae now brings that experience into DTTL’s growing drafting team and is excited to continue widening her skillset across shows, tours and bespoke projects.
“We’re very pleased to officially bring two familiar faces into our full-time team,” said Drawn to the Light. “Pete and Rae are seriously talented, and we’re thrilled to have them on board as the studio continues to grow.”
