Audio system manufacturer CODA Audio has become the latest brand to partner with the Production Futures organisation. Production Futures was founded to create opportunities for newcomers to gain access, learn, train, network, and develop careers in the production industries, working with its partners to bridge the skills gap, support fresh talent, and future-proof the sector.
Based in Germany, CODA Audio is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality professional audio systems. Core to its products are a number of unique patented driver technology designs. To ensure the highest quality and control over its products CODA Audio has its own manufacturing facility in Europe which produces all its driver and cabinet components.
Through its online platforms and ON TOUR events, the Production Futures community helps to connect new faces with real opportunities, with representatives of its brand partners available to offer advice, as well as access to training and job opportunities. The organisation’s pledge is that by 2030, every business in the entertainment production industry should be able to offer a placement, apprenticeship, or training opportunity.
CODA Audio Global Head of Sales and Marketing, David Webster commented: “As a company that manufactures cutting-edge and innovative professional audio products from scratch, we know only too well about the value of access to great raw materials. Young people coming into our environment are exactly that – they are the talent that will secure not only the future of CODA, but of the industry in general, so anything we can do to nurture and develop them is a huge positive benefit. This is what aligns so strongly with the Production Futures ethos.’
“At CODA Audio we have a comparatively young workforce and over the years have seen a number of stellar careers begin life in our junior ranks. We place great emphasis on ‘next generation’ products, so it follows that it will be ‘next generation’ talent on whom our continued success will depend,” Webster added. “CODA actively seeks to engage with and recruit young newcomers to the industry, and places a high value on bridging the gap between academic knowledge and hands-on experience in an encouraging and supportive environment. Our aims couldn’t be closer to those of Production Futures, so we’re delighted to be one of their industry partners and to offer whatever help we can.”
Hannah Eakins of Production Futures added: “We’re excited to announce our new partnership with CODA Audio. For us, it’s so important to work with companies who genuinely care about the future of the industry, and who value people as much as products. This partnership with a world-leading brand means a lot to us, and we’re looking forward to working with CODA as we expand Production Futures online to our international community and through our in-person events.
“Exposing young people to world class brands, technical training, and industry experts, as they progress into the industry is core to what we do. Being taught directly by the industry about the skills that truly matter is essential,” Eakins concluded.
