Fresh off a momentous showing at the 24th Annual Parnelli Awards, SGPS/ShowRig has appointed Joseph Jeremy as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Jeremy, the co-founder of Niscon Inc., will lead the company’s long-term technological vision while continuing to serve as an integral part of the Niscon leadership team. He will remain based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, where Niscon continues to operate as a division of SGPS/ShowRig.
This appointment follows the December 2025 announcement of SGPS/ShowRig’s acquisition of Niscon Inc. and its acclaimed Raynok motion control software. As CTO, Joseph Jeremy will oversee the integration of advanced automation technologies across the entire SGPS/ShowRig portfolio, including newly expanded automation capabilities in Nashville, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation for concert tours, film and television productions, and permanent installations. He will work closely with the engineering and development teams in Burlington and Las Vegas to spearhead continued creative technical innovation for live entertainment, a hallmark of SGPG/ShowRig.
This announcement comes on the heels of SGPS/ShowRig winning the Rigging Company of the Year award for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) tour at the Parnelli Awards on January 24, which recognise excellence in the live touring industry.
“Joseph’s appointment as CTO is the next logical step in our mission to provide the most integrated and advanced solutions in the industry. His deep technical expertise and history of innovation with the Raynok platform are unmatched. We are thrilled to have him steering our technological future,” said Ned Collett, President of SGPS/ShowRig.
“Winning Rigging Company of the Year for the TSO tour is a proud moment for us, but it’s also a reminder of the standard Eric Pearce set when he started this company. Eric was a pioneer who believed that no design was too bold and no challenge was impossible. By bringing Joseph into this leadership role, we are ensuring that Eric’s ‘tech wizard’ legacy and vision continue to thrive, blending our decades of excellence with the world-class automation software the modern industry demands.”
“I am honoured to be a part of the executive team and to take on this expanded role within the SGPS/ShowRig family,” said Joseph Jeremy. “Having spent the last 25 years of my career ‘Engineering the Art of Movement,’ I look forward to expanding the technologies that the Niscon team have created and to provide them with greater opportunities to continue the growth of Raynok. Our goal remains to push the boundaries of what is possible on stage while maintaining the reliability and safety our clients expect.”
With a career spanning over four decades in the entertainment industry, Jeremy brings a rare blend of practical and conceptual expertise to his role as CTO. A graduate of the Technical Theatre program at Niagara College, he began his career as a carpenter and technical specialist, spending 17 years refining his craft across a variety of productions. Before co-founding Niscon Inc. in 2001, he held pivotal leadership roles as Head of Automation at Edge and Company and Westsun Scenic. As a driving force behind Niscon for the past 25 years, Joseph served as Vice-President, President, and CEO, where he spearheaded the development of the Raynok Motion Control System. His vision has been instrumental in delivering over 400 installations worldwide, ranging from global concert tours and television studios to permanent architectural landmarks.
