Brussels-based Barco, traditionally a specialist in video screen and projector technology, has designed a new product that brings together lighting and video, marking a new shift in the company's agenda.

OLite 510 combines the requirements of indoor and outdoor usage in a single, robust and reliable LED display tile. Built specifically for the demanding rental and staging market, the OLite 510 is the first LED display tile designed for creative applications as well as image magnification (I-Mag). Each tile can easily be split up in to 64 modules enabling creative display designs of any size and shape.

The combination of indoor and outdoor usage as well as conventional display and creative applications makes the OLite 510 a truly versatile LED display system. This versatility enables rental companies to achieve unprecedented return on investment as the OLite 510 can be used in a wide range of applications and settings both indoor and outdoor.

The use of SMD LED display technology enables wide viewing angles and great uniformity even at short viewing distances. Add to this high brightness (5,000 Nit), high resolution (10mm pixel pitch), superior color depth and uniformity (15-bit processing), IP65 protecting rating and you will see that OLite 510 represents a quantum leap forward in LED display technology.

Its sister, the new OLite 612, has a pixel pitch of 12mm and has increased brightness output of 6,000 Nits. It also incorporates a revolutionary new shader design which vastly improves the black levels of the display especially in broad daylight. When combined with the increased brightness, the OLite 612 delivers vastly improved contrast levels.

While the OLite 612 is suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor applications, its increased brightness and high contrast levels, would make it a preferred option for rental companies who have proportionately more outdoor work.

On the projection side, Barco’s SLM Performer Series is considered the best in its class for fixed installations in venues like staging, eventing and others. Thanks to the combination of three-chip Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology and Barco's powerful pixel map processing, you will enjoy sharp, vibrant video images, with remarkable colour depth and uniformity.

This versatile SLM projector series ranges in light output from 12,000 to 13,500 ANSI lumens and is the right projection solution for convincing and compelling presentations for large audiences. It is available in SXGA resolution.

The FLM boasts fully sealed optics and impressive lamp maintenance ensuring an overall lower cost of ownership. Moreover, the lens range (TLD HB) of the industry-leading Barco RLM and SLM projector series can be re-used on the FLM series, meaning you do not have to invest in new lenses. Furthermore, you will enjoy exceptional video performance thanks to advanced 10-bit processing.
