At January's NAMM Show, Radian Audio Engineering introduced its new Apex Series of compact stage monitors with the launch of the Apex 1200 and the Apex 1500 two ultra-compact, low profile, two-way floor monitors for live performance and installed sound applications.
The Apex 1200 features Radian’s top of the line, American-made 12" coaxial speaker with a 2" compression driver, and the Apex 1500 houses a 15" version, in an enclosure engineered to be almost half the size of conventional stage monitors without sacrificing performance.
By utilising coaxial drivers, Radian Audio has been able to engineer the two new Apex wedges with front baffles that are 40% smaller than most conventional floor monitors. The uniquely designed, ultra low profile cabinets minimise audience sight line interference while the compact form factor drastically reduces the on-stage footprint.
The Apex 1200 and Apex 1500 are both rated at 500W RMS and are outfitted as standard for passive or bi-amp operation.
