Adamson Systems Engineering develops and manufactures high-end loudspeaker systems for the professional touring and installation market throughout the world. With over twenty years of experience, Adamson is recognized as an industry leader in the research and production of innovative loudspeaker technologies.
Metrix Line Source Series
The multi-purpose, ultra-compact Metrix Line Source Series was designed by Adamson for small to medium permanent installations, or for use as a main system in corporate and smaller touring applications. The rugged but discreet cabinet is also a handy solution for large format touring as a front fill, lip fill or out fill system. The two-way design shares the same patented sound chamber technology found in the SpekTrix series.
Unlike some other ultra compact systems, the Metrix does not run out of steam when you put it to the test. The sound chamber is loaded with a 3" diaphragm HF compression driver giving it the raw horsepower that Adamson claims is unavailable in other cabinets of its class. Metrix ‘Symmetrical Adapter Plates’ are used to fly left/right arrays with mirrored waveguides for perfect symmetry. The HF sound chamber is paired with a high powered single Neodymium, Kevlar 8.5" low/mid driver.
The Metrix toolbox also includes ‘Pole Mount Plates’, designed to handle a pair of 15° W (WAVE — wide angle vertical enclosure) enclosures mounted on the built-in pole mount socket in the Metrix Sub.
The unique accessories make the Metrix series a scalable solution, even for smaller events where a full array is not needed. The Metrix convertible cardioid Sub features two unique 15" Kevlar Neodymium drivers, which take full advantage of Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture.
This proprietary and long overdue advancement in cone geometries creates a stiffer cone rim, while it simultaneously eliminates radial modes in the driver’s passband. The reduction in distortion and break-up is extraordinary. The driver’s unique design, loaded in a manifold with optimal port tuning, maximises the output capability of this very compact enclosure.
A Metrix ‘Frame Link Adapter’ can be used for flying subs behind the main array when working with limited trim heights.
