Now synonymous with Radiohead, back in 2002, Richard was part of the TPi Awards production team, through his company Ballista who supplied the table-to-table comms system with which guests annoyed each other... remember?

But even before our inaugural event at the Hilton Metropole in west London he was already deeply involved with the Oxford alt-rockers — firstly through Tiger Hire as an audio system technician in 1997, then as the band’s stage manager, before climbing to the dizzy heights of his current production manager role in 2003.

Last year, Richard spearheaded Radiohead’s green-conscious In Rainbows world tour, which help set new standards for sustainable rock’n’roll touring through the implementation of a minimum air freight policy, extensive use of low power, high output LED lighting, and encouraging audiences to travel to gigs by public transport.
