Mojo Barriers Keep Foo Fighters Fans Safe

Friday 15th July - 16.20pm

Mojo Barriers helped ensure the safety of thousands of Foo Fighters’ fans when the band performed two sell out concerts live at the Milton Keynes Bowl earlier this month.

The shows took place at the open-air amphitheatre on 2nd and 3rd July, and were attended by over 45,000 rock fans each night.

Mojo Barriers’ UK offices worked closely with the production and promoter SJM Concerts, to install a 600 metres barrier system. The configuration was one of Mojos’ customary designs encompassing the B stage , thrust and primary barrier as one continuous system surrounded by a secondary line for both a safe zone and a ‘golden circle’. Mojo also had a 200 metre bar barrier system on site for Central Catering.

Mojo Barriers’ supervisor Greg Johnson, oversaw the installation.

Kevin Thorborn, Mojo Barriers’ UK manager, said: “Amidst a busy summer it is testament to our international logistics, support teams behind the scenes and our crews on site. They deal with multiple simultaneous shows; some of the Foo Fighters system was shipped over night from a Prince show in Paris and arrived in good time on Friday morning enabling the crew to complete the installation.

“The remainder of the system was in our warehouse facility being pressure washed after being used at a very muddy Glastonbury festival. It took a full crew working through the night to turn it around.”

On the load out Greg had another challenge. The full system had to be taken down, checked, and split into separate loads to be delivered to T in The Park and Sonisphere festivals the next day. Again, all deadlines were met.
