HHB To Make Major New Audio Technology Announcements At IBC 2011
Friday 8th July - 10.30am
Prominently located at the front of the Audio Hall 8 of IBC 2011, the HHB stand 8.D56 is where audio file based workflow comes together, making it the perfect venue for a number of important new product announcements at IBC.
A global leader in the supply of audio technology to broadcasters and systems integrators, HHB is also Europe’s leading Avid Pro Tools supplier and exclusive UK distributor of Dolby professional audio products and Wohler monitoring and metering systems. HHB is exhibiting at IBC with Scrub, its Soho-based subsidiary specialising in serving the post-production industry.
Ahead of important new product launches due at the show, HHB is also profiling significant new developments in file-based workflow including a new software release for the Dolby DP600 Program Optimizer. Along with full support of the EBU R 128 loudness standard, new multi-mono support now enables the 6 discreet .wav files from a ProTools 5.1 surround session to be automatically loudness corrected and transcoded at five times faster than real-time.
With loudness such a hot topic in broadcast, the HHB stand is also the place to see TC's TM9 standalone loudness meter, which now includes Dual Radar metering and a faithful emulation of analogue PPMs.
Making its debut on the HHB stand at IBC is Wohler’s new MADI-8 Audio Monitor, which makes it easy for broadcasters to implement the Multiple Audio Digital Interface within their workflows. OB operators in particular will welcome the reduction in cabling that MADI delivers over traditional analogue or AES-based audio distribution. Also on show from Wohler is the award-winning Pandora loudness analyser, PRESTO 16:2 3G video switcher and the AMP2-16V, the most comprehensively equipped rack-mounting audio and video monitoring toolbox available today.
In addition to the HHB stand, the full range of Wohler equipment is also on demo in the Wohler Euro Van located outside in the OB area, Outside Exhibit 225.
And in the area of audio acquisition, the new SoundField ST450 is a lightweight, battery-powered microphone system, perfect for surround sound audio capture on location.
Other products on show include the latest developments from Røde, Genelec, Mogami, PreSonus, Avid and Rosendahl.
“The Audio Hall is full of manufacturers making important contributions to broadcast sound in their particular areas of specialty,” comments HHB Director of Sales Martin O’Donnell. “HHB brings the perspective of a highly experienced organisation involved in all areas from acquisition, through production to delivery, equipping broadcasters for greater workflow efficiency and ensuring maximum returns on their investments in audio technology.”
Visitors to the HHB stand are also invited to enter daily prize draws to win an Olympus LS-20M portable audio recorder with HD movie, and to collect their free copy of the HHB Catalogue 2011, the essential guide to everything that’s important in professional audio technology.
