Outline At Show-Way 2011

10 May 2011 - 11:44 GMT

Outline announces its participation in Show-Way, at Bergamo Trade Fair (Italy). The fair takes place May 15-17th.

Promoted by APIAS and organized by Ente Fiera Promoberg, it is Italy’s leading national expo dedicated to Entertainment Technology trade members.

For the first time in Italy, it will be possible to see Outline GTO, the large-format line-source system already owned by some of the world’s major rental companies (in the US and UK).

In spite of the official launch dating back to just last month, on the occasion of Frankfurt’s Prolight+Sound, the Brescia company wishes to emphasize that the system has already been in use since the summer of 2010.

As well as Peter Gabriel’s “New Blood” tour, GTO has just been used (on 9th May) for the concert by Mike + The Mechanics at London’s Royal Albert Hall. There is no lack of illustrious artists in the United States either, with names such as Bon Jovi, BB King, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to mention the best known. Also in the USA, the next step will be a large four-month tour with 100 shows in top locations (Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Alpine Valley and Jones Beach).

The name of the group - one of the top names in the United States - will soon be announced.

At Show-Way, the 100 square metre Outline stand will host the presentation of the new iSM series of stage monitors (112,115 and 212). As well as an “ultra-slim” profile of just 32.5 cm, in spite of the large speakers with which the 212 model is equipped, for example  (2 x 12” – 1 x 3”), the entire series features Outline’s award-winning iMode technology. The motto is simple: “From console to enclosures in just one step”.

Thanks again to this technology, iSM monitors can be controlled directly by Apple’s iPad (the App, entirely written in the Outline labs, will very soon be available from the Apple Store).

At Show-Way, there will also be Outline’s new compact EIDOS 265 LA line array from the series of the same name. Ideal for permanent installations, the enclosure is equipped with two 6.5” mid-woofers and a 44 mm compression driver, loaded with a waveguide.

At Bergamo, on the occasion of “Sound Power” which will be held in the venue’s square, it will be possible to listen to Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode, a vertical line array whose directivity can be adjusted from 60 to 150° with 16 different combinations of horizontal dispersion – the only compact VLA on the international scenario to feature this characteristic. Equipped with four 5-inch mid-woofers and two 1” compression drivers, it too can be controlled directly by a digital console or iPad (App available very shortly from Apple Store, also written by Outline).

Outline wishes remind that it is easy to obtain free Show-Way entrance badges (valid for the three days of the expo).

Just fill in the relative online form at http://showway.apias.it/ita/ (Italian visitors) or http://showway.apias.it/eng/ (foreign visitors) and send it; within half an hour, you’ll receive a pdf file with the data and a barcode via e-mail. It is sufficient to print the form and hand it in at the expo’s reception desk to receive your personal entrance badge. It couldn’t be easier

Outline suggests visiting the web site www.showway.it, on which there is further important information, including that regarding hotels, low-cost flights and much more able to make your visit to Show-Way and Bergamo even more enjoyable.
