Audio-Technica To Host Free Audio And Microphone Seminar At MPS
6 May 2011 - 16:38 GMT
Audio-Technica has revealed details of a free-to-attend seminar it will host at the Music Production Show at Leeds Armouries between 13-14 May 2011.
The seminar – to be conducted by Audio-Technica product and training specialist Logan Helps – is intended to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of audio, and provide advice for visitors on buying studio microphones and professional monitor headphones for their own studios.
Helps will begin by guiding attendees through the basics of audio and in closer detail at microphone polar patterns, dynamic and condenser mic technology and the inner workings of headphones.
The second part of the seminar will be given over to discussing the ways in which microphone choice can shape the sound of a recording, providing visitors with the knowledge required to use different microphone designs creatively.
To conclude, Helps will look at the questions customers should consider when purchasing a new pair of professional monitoring headphones.
Audio-Technica senior UK marketing manager Harvey Roberts said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer the benefit of Logan’s knowledge and expertise to visitors to the Music Production Show. Rather than pushing particular products, the seminar simply aims to promote a better understanding of some of the issues that musicians and producers face during the creative process.”
