APG Continues To Extend Uniline Solution Network In France
5 May 2011 - 10:36 GMT
Since APG first announced their 'Uniline Solution' concept at the JTSE in Paris in November last year, the network has gone from strength to strength with new members coming aboard all the time.
The most recent affiliates are up-and-coming Dijon-based rental company Scene et Son who specialize in corporate events, and Able who are headquartered in Lyon. Both companies have invested in a Uniline system, opting for a total of 14 x UL210 and 10 x UL115B.
A conscious choice was made on behalf of each company to invest in the same system configuration for maximum compatibility and versatility when handling major events.
According to Eric Chopin, managing director of Able, the reason for investing in Uniline was clear: “Uniline is powerful, versatile and extremely simple to implement,” he observed. “Having positioned ourselves as both a rental company and full service provider in the Rhone-Alpes region of France, the purchase of a Uniline system was both a logical and strategic step for us to consolidate our position in the market. Having Uniline in our inventory enables us to provide the highest quality service to events of all sizes, from the very smallest local shows to major national or even international events using the Uniline Solution network already in place throughout France.”
The Uniline Solution was conceived in order to provide a turnkey system with full technical support to as wide an audience as possible for consistent, high level results. Consequently, members come from a number of different market sectors to form a multi-layered network with the common aim of providing the best possible service with Uniline. It also addresses the fact that Uniline lends itself to such a broad spectrum of applications.
“It’s like having ten different systems in one, and we wanted to be sure that our client base was making the most out of their equipment,” explained APG’s product manager Mathieu Delquignies who also looks after the Uniline Solution network in France. “It can handle everything from a small 400-seat theatre to a major outdoor festival with audiences of over 10,000 people.
"In reality, Uniline does in fact qualify as a “big” system, but we’ve cut it in two for maximum modularity and configurability: the system comprises a mid/hi loudspeaker and a separate low-frequency cabinet. With the recent addition of the new dedicated downfill speaker launched at Prolight & Sound in April, it has become even more versatile. As a result, Uniline can be used in just about any situation – flown or ground-stacked – and in any combination.”
“We recognize that not everyone who might want to use Uniline is in a position to invest in a system,” continued Delquignies. “The Uniline Solution aims to ensure that everyone who wants to use a system has access to one, and with guaranteed results, because, as we all know, when it comes to using a line array, regardless of the intrinsic performance characteristics of the system, 50% of the sound quality depends on how it is set up in the first place. The Uniline Solution exists in order to guarantee our clients, and our clients’ clients, optimal results every time.”
