Hotly-tipped UK metal band Glamour Of The Kill are among the latest artists to be added to Audio-Technica’s expanding roster of endorsers. The York-based outfit – whose debut album The Summoning was released in January – have been taking their brand of melody-laced metal around the UK throughout February and March to rave reviews.
Accompanying the band on their headline tour is a quartet of Audio-Technica ATM610 hypercardioid dynamic microphones employed for vocals, and three ATW-3110b wireless systems used for bass and lead/rhythm guitars.
GOTK guitarist/vocalist Chris Gomerson says of the ATM610, “we have a massive vocal range, from tight harmonies to growled vocals and the ATM610s deliver it all with crispness, without changing character or distorting. Our sound engineer is blown away with the clarity of the mics. He loves them.”
“And the flexibility of the 3000b Series wireless systems is amazing,” he continues. “A lot of systems come with pre-selected frequencies, but we’re able to pick whichever frequency we like. And the ATW3110b doesn’t compromise our guitar tone at all – there’s no loss in sound quality.”
