Martin UK To Hold Pixel Mapping Workshop
8 November 2010 10:42 BST
Martin Professional UK will be holding a Pixel Mapping Workshop on Thursday and Friday, November 11th and 12th at Riverside Studios in London.
Using the latest Martin LED lighting fixtures, video screens and processor, lighting consoles and media server products, Martin UK will demonstrate lighting and video convergence in a number of practical show-type applications.
The workshop is designed to allow participants to get hands on with the kit in order to gain valuable insight into how to design and operate a pixel mapped rig. Designed to be an inspirational look at convergence, technical issues will also be covered.
“The convergence of lighting and video is a much used phrase in the entertainment lighting industry and on the 11th and 12th of November we’ll be demonstrating what it’s all about,” says Martin UK Sales Director Mike Walker.
“We will address the lights with a media server and turn lighting fixtures into video pixels. Then we’ll switch between pixel mapping and DMX control to show combinations of powerful new effects. You will also be able to see how these techniques look on screen from the studio camera. We also welcome any experiments participants may wish to try of their own!”
Venue:
Riverside Studios, Crisp Rd., Hammersmith, London, W6 9RL
When:
Thursday, 11th November from 12:00 to 21:00
Friday, 12th November from 10:00 to 19:00
