Norwest Productions Stays Ahead of the Game with Lake LM 26
26 October 2010 13:50 BST
Leading Australian audio service provider delighted to take delivery of the new LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker processor.
Australia’s Norwest Productions have been a long time user of Lake products and were in fact early adopters of the original Lake Contour, taking the first four units that arrived in the country almost a decade ago. Fast forward to August 2010 and it’s another first for Norwest, as they become the first such company in Australia to take advantage of the all new Lake LM 26 standalone Digital Audio Loudspeaker processor as part of an inventory upgrade.
The LM 26 is a full-featured 2-in/6-out stand-alone Digital Audio Loudspeaker processor in a compact 1RU frame. It offers seamless compatibility with the Lab.gruppen’s PLM Series of Powered Loudspeaker Management systems as well as with Dolby Lake Processors (DLP) and earlier versions of the technology, including Lake Mesa Quad EQ and Lake Contour Pro 26. The LM 26 accepts analogue, AES digital, or Dante (audio over Ethernet) digital audio at 48 kHz and 96 kHz sampling rates. Multiple units can be linked with audio shared between the processors via AES or Dante.
Norwest have extensive large event experience with Lake processors, Dante audio networking and of course Lab.gruppen power amplifiers. Chris Kennedy of Norwest commented: “We are a long term, loyal user of Lab.gruppen products, which never let us down. It’s great to see a new Lake processor on the market and even more pleasing that it’s being built in Sweden by Lab.gruppen.”
Graeme Whitehouse, Group Operations Manager of Norwest, summed it up nicely: “Legendary Lake performance backed up by legendary Lab.gruppen reliability. The decision was easy.”
Norwest Productions is Australia’s largest audio service provider with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Beijing. Norwest also own Oceania Audio in New Zealand who has offices in Auckland and Wellington. Norwest have expertise in every area of the audio industry – from live production to broadcast to recording and regularly provide audio for some of the world’s largest events.
The Lake LM26’s were supplied by the Australian Lab.gruppen and Lake distributor, Hills SVL.
