SSE Wins Audio Pro Excellence Award

The winners of the second annual 2010 Audio Pro Industry Excellence Awards have been revealed:

"We've used the cutting edge of L-Acoustics K1 for the past two years at Download - in fact K1 made its debut at Download 2009 within days of taking delivery of the new system. It had an instant impact on festival-goers, bands and their engineers, as well as on our own crew."

"I also think our success at Download is down to our close collaboration with audio consultants Vanguardia, who ensure that local authority licences are met with regard to noise pollution. We've been able to deliver the SPLs for the Download audience, while keeping offsite spill to a minimum."

"This year (2010) Download represented a major challenge for us, integrating our PA with a second stage and PA system for ACDC on the first showday, which required stripping out some delays and reconfiguring the whole system overnight, ready for the "conventional" show days two & three."
