28 September 2010 15.30 BST
Peavey Electronics is proud to be part of the re-opening celebration of the Grand Ole Opry House on September 28th as an official provider of amps for the iconic show.
“ Peavey amplifiers have a long history with the Grand Ole Opry,” explains Hartley Peavey. “It feels great to be able to support the restoration of the Opry to its home stage and the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville following the flood.”
Not only will Peavey amps be center stage for every Grand Ole Opry performance, but also the artists' dressing rooms will be equipped with Peavey’s Vypyr 15/ Rage 258 amps, and bass amps. On stage, artists will perform with Peavey Sensation 212 and Classic 50/212 guitar amps, as well as Trace Elliot bass amps and cabs ( AH600/ 1048H/ 1518H) and Budda V40 guitar amps.
“We’re pleased to offer Peavey and Trace Elliott amplifiers for the use of our Opry artists and musicians as we settle back into our home here at the Grand Ole Opry House. Peavey has long been recognized for the quality and durability of their products and is a top choice among musicians everywhere. We’re looking forward to continuing the long standing tradition of having Peavey amplification on the Opry stage,” says Steve Gibson, Musical Director, Grand Ole Opry.
After being displaced from its permanent home due to the historic Nashville flood back in May, the Opry’s re-opening show includes a star-studded list of performers. Artists scheduled to appear include Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Diamond Rio, Jimmy Dickens, Del McCoury Band, Montgomery Gentry, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Mel Tillis, Josh Turner and Keith Urban. The show will air live on GAC: Great American Country. Special events and artist appearances will follow throughout October in celebration of both the show's return and its 85th Birthday.
